Welcome Spring!

Good-bye Winter!

Hello Spring!

Modeling hats at Bass Pro:o)
Our little cutie

Our friend, Nathan, was visiting us from VA. and one day we took a little vacation to Branson and then stopped in at Bass Pro in Springfield...is he trying to make friends with this ol' teddy or is it getting the best of him?! Everyone else seems to be focusing on having their picture taken so it must not have been too serious!:o)

Mushroom hunting time!

Aubrey & Ty found 140 of them, besides the red ones that Chad & Ty found...uummm good!

The woods still had that early Spring look. One of my favorite things is when the trees take on that misty green tinge of newly sprouting leaves! It only happens once a year, and lasts such a short time-- I just love it!

A hen turkey they spotted while mushroom hunting--
Our lilac bush was gorgeous and smelled lovely too---isn't this butterfly beautiful~ Neither green nor purple are my favorite colors, but I just love them together!

Kaiti and Jensy by the lilacs

My own live dollies
(a little secret here: you see, I never quite grew up!:o)

My littlest baby doll

We even got to take the boat out already~ Jensy loved driving!

And as you can see, our friend Nathan is staying with us again while working here for, as I say it, "My Nathan":o) They've been working so hard that a little breather like this is really welcome!

Sunset on the lake and my little Kaiti

Damien and his favorite sisters:o)

My Jensy at the playground near the lake

A fun picnic with friends

It got darker and darker but the moon, even though not full, was so bright, that it was lovely long after the sun went down.

O.k.! This is it--I've had it!:o)
'Til next time friends!!!

Valentine's Day...Fishing...And Trip

1
We did a unit study for school about snow rollers and did all kinds of fun "snowy" things. We didn't actually get much snow this winter, so I guess we made up for it this way!:o) Here we were making...

A snow globe!

We also made cute little snowmen out of styrofoam balls, sticks, buttons, etc.

The cute little snowmen...do you recognize your blue yarn, Lydia?:o)

Gluten-free play dough for Jensy...

Baby Aliyah -nine months old!
Happy Valentine's Day!
Beautiful bouquets! The big one for me from my dearest;
the cute little one from Daddy to his little princesses:o)

We like to have a nice family dinner served on my good china~
Oh, and just in case anybody's wondering, the date is off on this camera
(at least some of the time:)

Daddy with his little valentines!

Kaiti Beth

Chad & his friend, John, set trot lines one week-end...

And what a catch!!!

It ended up being around 50 lbs. of meat so we invited a bunch of friends over and had a big fish fry--yum! And still put some in the freezer!

Chad & Ty's trip to New Mexico and Arizona

They attended the wedding of our sweet friend, Jessica, in Arizona-- --Congratulations, Chris & Jessica!

And helped Chad's friend Matthew build a new shop/barn

With good friends, Matt & Ben at the City of Rocks

They got to go along to the market in Las Cruses, where our friends at Living Harvest Bakery sell wonderful baked goods each week. Check out their cool website at http://livingharvestbakery.com/Home.html
Maybe you'll want to try some for yourself~ it is excellent!!!

Chad & Ty with N.M. friends~ Love you guys!
