August-month for company!

Shortly after we returned from camping, our first company for the month arrived. Well, no, I guess that's not quite true--we actually had company while we were camping too!:o) So o.k. our first company at home for the month of August were Dave and Annalisa and their three children from PA. They were here about a week and were such a sweet family to have with us!---If I have it right there were only seven nights out of the whole month when we were all home together without overnight company!:o) Here our sweet little girlies were playing dress-up!

Our sweet little princesses~
Kaitriana, Aliyah, Kristin, and Elianna

And check this out...princesses in a pick-up truck!:o) Kaiti and Kristin are like two little peas in a pod--they had so much fun together! You can see our brown, dry grass in this picture---before it started raining, it was SO dry!!!

Dave & Annalisa and family--one evening we had pizza at the lake and took the boat out afterwards.

Avery at the helm:o)

Kaiti and Elianna swimming off the boat...and yes, it was deep:o)

Baby Dearest

Kaiti swinging on the tire swing in our ravine--sweet summer fun!

Go Kaiti!

Aliyah

Our dear friends from N.M. were next---it was a privilege to have Travis and Amy here, although not nearly long enough! Hopefully they'll come again before long and bring the rest of the family with them!:o)

Travis & Amy on our front porch...short and sweet visit!

Some of us posing with Travis & Amy before they left with their new bus in the background. Hope it works out so well for them that they'll decide to try it out with the whole family on a trip to MO. soon:o)
Next on our guest list was our good friend, Nate---he came to help on some jobs here and was able to take in some of the music fest as well. As you can see, he's always a lot of fun to have around!:o)

And then the Neals arrived from OK for the music fest--- "Ah, my dear friend, it's so good to see you again!":o) Zuriel giving Aliyah a big hug-

No socialization problems here!

And their friend, Harmony, that came with them--playing Othello with Damien

When the Neals come, we always end up with lots more company, due to their popularity in the community:o) They just seem to attract all kinds of them---some cute as all get out, like this one...

...and some not so cute, like this one! (Meaning the animal, of course:o) One evening when we came home from Camp Galilee, here was John holding this little opossum thing that he'd caught. Was interesting, only I've never been very fond of the little critters.

And who was this strange fellow???

Our friend, Lacey, surprised people when she came back from CA in time for the music fest!

And to sum it up for this post--a darling picture of our Jensy; thankfully he did surprisingly well over that weekend- (At least to those of us who know him well!:o)

A special thank you to all our company who left us with pictures that I used on this blog and with fun and happy memories to treasure always!
So when are you coming to see us?:o)

Berry Blessings & Fundraisers

As you can see, I'm trying to get the blog caught up while the guys are gone to Haiti--One of my projects while they're gone:o) We were very blessed with lots of wonderful berries around here. The first time they picked on some conservation land near where we live---Aubrey, Ty, Damien & Kaiti went that time.

The question is, did they eat more than they brought home?:o) Actually I like for them to eat plenty of fresh, just picked anything...I see that as a building-their-health-up-during-the summer thing and a good way of "putting up" for the winter!:o) Makes sense, doesn't it?!

On the way home, they came across this "beauty" (Crocodile Hunter:o) And yes, my children will actually handle them...

Yikes! Even my little girl!!! That's my Kaiti for you!:o)

The boys and Ron singing in the park in town---I'm including this in fundraisers, because they so nicely donated the money they made doing it, to the music fest fund--Thanks so much, guys!

Our little people at the park

Great job, guys!

Jensy managed to find a stray balloon there:o)

Walking with Daddy

See, REAL men love cats!!!!!!!!:o)
Seriously, before I married mine, it was certainly in his favor that he was fine with cats--And it's a good thing with all the cats that grace our place:o)

My handsome trio dressed up for a friends wedding-

More berries, this time closer to home...

and more berries...

and more berries!
We were picking in the neighbor's pasture where we keep some of our livestock, so it was really nice except that it didn't take care of the bugs!

One of the fundraisers we did for the music fest...
Thanks so much to all of you who helped with that!

Damien by the bracelets that he helped make for the Homeschool Music Fest fundraisers

That same weekend we were privileged to have company from N.M. and PA. It was such a busy time that I hope they felt as welcome as we were glad to have them and were taken care of well enough! Was so nice having you, Matthew & Hannah and Maria! It was Matt & Hannah's wedding that we went to last Oct. in N.M. Chad was his best man and Aubrey a groomsman and I would've thought I had posted pictures of that, but I went and checked and I guess I was so busy after the baby was born, that it just didn't happen!
Oh well, the wedding happened though, and going on the trip and seeing dear friends again was a big blessing for our family!
O.k. I couldn't help but put in just one picture from their wedding:o) It was a beautiful N.M. day and such a sweet wedding!
God bless you Matthew & Hannah!

Matthew and Chad have been good friends since they were around five years old, and when they're together they're a lot of fun because you just never know what they'll come up with next! What do you think they were thinking/coming up with here to liven up a boring fundraiser...:o)

Hello Tyler! What in the world?!
Is he double-jointed at the hips or what?

Jason's turn!
Now you know...the rest of the story!:o)

I don't know what was being discussed here, but Chad seems to be enjoying it:o)

Just had to finish out this post with these cute pics of Aliyah~
